Free Pattern Friday – Macaron Cloths

It’s Free Pattern Friday!

Today, Macaron Cloths in Cottonwood (pattern link here).

Why macarons?  Well…

Om nom nom.

These are sweet little knitting confections.  Made in organic Cottonwood, they’re small projects that are satisfying on-the-go knitting, or great quick gifts.

From very easy…

tan lace washcloth knit in Cottonwood yarn
Just a two row, three stitch repeat.

…to slightly more complex

cream knitted washcloth with pink loop at corner
Letting stitches unravel? Okay…

…to something you might have to look at a couple of times.

Knitting through the back loop makes stitches stand out!

The i-cord border and loop on the corner for hanging are a great touch.  There’s something here for every knitter.  Cottonwood has a lot of colors – I’m seriously considering pre-knitting some cloths for the next baby shower I’m invited to.

Or maybe lavender, or cream, or spring green…

If you want to try your hand at lace, this is a good starting point.  And if you want to try your hand at making macarons… well, just be sure to invite us over.

Happy crafting!
