Have you visited Annie’s Craft Store’s new site yet? I love features like Build-A-Kit, which makes it easy to grab everything I need for a project that catches my fancy. The stitch guides are a great help too – it’s nice to have that resource at my fingertips. Annie’s is proud of the new site too, with good reason, and they’re having a sale to celebrate!
From now until Jan 23rd, use the code NEWYARN at the Annie’s site and get 20% off any yarn purchase. This is great, because we all know, even if you’re on a yarn diet, sale yarn doesn’t count!
To keep the celebration rolling, they’re also giving away a subscription to Crochet! magazine. We’re partnering with them for one of our favorite projects from the Spring 2015 issue, Amy Gunderson’s Bruges Edged Round Throw shown below (Ravelry link here). What a great burst of color for Spring!
So here’s the deal: comment on this post and tell us your favorite kind of project to crochet. We’ll select one entry to win a year’s subscription to Crochet! magazine as well as enough yarn to make the Bruges Edged Round Throw. Enter by Jan 30th to be counted!
We can’t wait to hear from you!
Since I’m kinda new at crocheting again, I’d like to make a shawl.
As much as I love crocheting toys for my nephew, as a knitter and crocheter the things I most like crocheting are afghans.
Why?
Two reasons: 1) I crochet much faster than I knit, and 2) there’s something especially lovely about crocheted lace.
I actually haven’t found my “go to” project as I am always looking for something new to try. I have made a circular vest, but never a circular afghan so this pattern would be a fun project!
My favorite project is making lace-edged handkerchiefs. Most of my latest crochet projects are snowflakes for holiday decorations.
I love to crochet baskets but my next project will be a Chanel jacket!

My favorite crochet project is shawls.
My favorite thing to crochet is hats. I make a lot of character hats for kids, and always use my leftovers to make hats and scarves for local needy children. Sometimes my leftovers go into afghans for those in nursing homes.
I love crocheting afghans–there’s something so satisfying about making a great chevron pattern or puff stitch, and they seem to work up so quickly!
When we went to Disney for Xmas, I crocheted hats for the family. I loved making the hats, and we were a HUGE hit at Disney & Universal!
I love to crochet shawls and cowls. One of my favorite pattern is Elise, a crochet shawl designed by a man. Easy , quick and beautiful.
Love to crochet! My favorite?? That depends on what is happening! Have a favorite baby blanket for newborns; enjoy some afghans (nothing with pieces); doilies are gorgeous; hats / scarves /dishcloths are fast & portable. *sigh* so many patterns, so little time. . .
I love to make sweaters. I always use a different pattern for each one I make to challenge myself.
I’ve just started learning to crochet and love it. Since I’m a newbie I’d have to say baby blankets are my favorite project so far, I’m on my first. lol. Thank you for the chance to win, which will definitely improve my skills.
